Supporting the LGBTQ+ Business Community
At the SBA, we are dedicated to backing the LGBTQ+ business community.
Advancing Diversity and Inclusion
The US Small Business Administration (SBA) has developed a network for LGBTQ+ businesses, aimed at fostering the economic development of the LGBTQ+ business community by providing access to SBA programs and services.
Business owners can utilize our local support tool to identify nearby offices and resources. There, they can receive guidance to determine if our 8(a) Business Development Program is suitable for their needs.
The SBA is making a concerted effort to be more inclusive of LGBTQ+ business owners, and its personnel recognize and value the significance of greater diversity and inclusion at all levels and in all communities.
Numerous district offices have developed strategic partnerships with the LGBTQ+ business community.
There are LGBTQ+ chambers of commerce across the United States, such as the LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston, the Greater Seattle Business Association, the Puerto Rico LGBTTQ Chamber of Commerce, the Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
The SBA Network for LGBTQ+ Businesses
Are you interested in certifying your business as LGBTQ+ owned? The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce offers certification to small businesses owned by LGBTQ+ individuals.
