Women’s Business Ownership Office
The Women’s Business Ownership Office (WBOO), in coordination with the US Small Business Administration’s (SBA) district offices, offers business training programs, consulting services, access to federal contracts, credit and capital, to support women entrepreneurs.
The WBOO also oversees Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) which strive to provide an equitable playing field for all women entrepreneurs, as they continue to encounter unique challenges in the business world.

Funding Opportunities for Women-Owned Small Businesses
The 8(a) Business Development Program aids small and disadvantaged businesses in competing in the marketplace. Consult with WBCs and local resources for guidance, and utilize our Lender Match tool to secure capital.

Federal Contracting Opportunities for Women-Owned Small Businesses
The Federal Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Contracting Program supports women-owned small businesses in securing federal contracts. Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria before submitting your application.
The SBA collaborates with federal agencies to enhance contracting opportunities and attain the government’s objective of allocating 5% of contracts to women-owned small businesses. Keep an eye out for networking events for both government and private procurement.

Online Training with DreamBuilder
DreamBuilder offers a comprehensive and captivating curriculum that introduces participants to all aspects of business ownership; it is available in both English and Spanish. By the end of the program, women have a business plan in place to launch their own company or improve an existing one.
